Inside Service Technician

Responsibilities:

• Repair & Maintenance: Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operations, and making necessary adjustments.
• Farm Machinery Expertise: Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
• Diagnostic Skills: Use diagnostic equipment to properly diagnose and reprogram ECUs as needed.
• Problem Solving: Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, locate and diagnose malfunctions.
• Disassembly & Reassembly: Dismantle defective machines for repair using hand tools, then reassemble and test.
• Record Keeping: Record details of repairs made and parts used.
• Customer Communication: Prepare parts lists for estimates/orders, and work closely with the service office to keep customers informed.
• Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Technical Knowledge: 3+ years of service technician experience, with expertise in farm machinery and vehicle repair.
• Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software.
• Communication Skills: Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Presentation & Interpretation: Capable of effectively presenting information to management and interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
