GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for a leader in design and manufacturing of proprietary engineered structural wood products for commercial and industrial applications. Our customer has an emphasis on safety, with their skilled team of passionate, customer-focused professionals they are committed to providing valued solutions. Our customers plant 15/20 minutes roughly outside of Salem, OR and manufactures engineered wood joists, laminated veneer lumber, and assembles job packages for delivery direct to the construction site.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS for Journeyman Electrician
•Frequently lift, move, and carry materials weighing 50 - 100 lbs.
•Subject to irritation of eyes, skin, and respiratory tract from sawdust and other dusty surfaces.
•Stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.
•Duties are normally accomplished in a climate-controlled area, but work outside in heat or cold is occasionally required.
•Subject to cuts, scrapes, splinters, and burns due to the tools and materials used.
•Occasionally required to wear protective equipment or clothing that may be heavy or uncomfortable.
•Work in confined workspaces occasionally (small areas or shared with other crews).
•Required to wear assigned PPE at all times when on the production floor.
•Frequently exposed to noise


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
•Must hold a State of Oregon General Journeyman or Supervisor electrical license.
•Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Good work ethic.
•Excellent math skills.
•Must have reliable transportation.
•Proficient in the operation and use of equipment, fabrication of components and materials used by the electrical crew.
•Ability to accurately interpret construction drawings.
•Ability to find creative solutions to problems.
