Exterior Painter

Job Description

• Wash, scrape, chemically treat, sand, sandblast, or use other necessary means to prepare various surfaces for painting.
• Application of materials using brush, roller, and spray equipment.
• Types of materials used: latex, oils, stains, lacquer, cleaners, solvents, etc.
• The components treated are siding (wood, composites, concrete), interior and exterior trims, doors (wood and metal), interior wall surfaces (gypsum, vinyl, wood), steel chassis/frames, etc.
• Clean painting equipment and materials, as well as working areas, on a daily basis.
• Conduct routine maintenance of paint sprayers and paint guns; disassemble and rebuild when necessary.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to be fitted with a respirator.
• Experienced in operating and using equipment and fabricating components and materials used by the painting crew.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Ability to find creative solutions to problems.
