GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring for a locally owned and operated modular construction company located 20 minutes outside of Willamette Valley. We are seeking a candidate with construction background that would be responsible for the final detailing of completed modular buildings. This includes minor repairs and finishes as well as final interior cleaning. 


JOB DUTIES:

  • Clean and detail units (caulk sinks, toilets, urinals, and water fountains; wax floors, wash windows, and perform general cleaning).
  • Fix small repairs (holes in vinyl, paneling, and wainscoting).
  • Sign out drivers for transportation.
  • Cross-train to do basic trim, tile floors, insulate, paint, clean up, and cut paneling for tabs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site.
  • Frequently lift, move, and carry materials weighing 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Frequently work with arms and hands overhead.
  • Ability to climb ladders (10’ to 12’)
  • Ability to maintain good balance while working
  • Stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. 
  • Duties are normally accomplished in a climate-controlled area but are occasionally required to work outside in heat or cold.  
  • Subject to cuts, scrapes, splinters, and burns due to the tools and materials used. 
  • Occasionally required to wear protective equipment or clothing that may be heavy or uncomfortable.
  • Confined work spaces occasionally (small areas or shared with other crews).
  • Frequently exposed to noise.
  • Ability to maintain good balance while working
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use basic tools, hammer, utility knife, screwdriver, saws, pin guns, heat guns, etc.
  • Ability to read labels and directions on cleaning solutions.
  • Ability to visually identify defects and deficiencies in workmanship.
  • Knowledge of how to use cleaning solutions, repair damage to interior floors, walls, and ceilings, and mix paints and putty to match the coloring of materials is a plus.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
  • $21/Hour
