Pressing Operator

GLISS Staffing is hiring a Pressing Operator for a local producer of soy sauce. This is a critical step in the production process and you will be joining the team as a valuable player! Pressing Operators are not only responsible for operating the machines, but also ensuring that machines are running properly so production does not slow down!

Essential Functions for the Pressing Operator:

• Do a pre start up inspection on machines to be running for the day

• Turn on all machines at the start of the day

• Ensure there is amble product to load in the machines

• Work with production to communicate any product delays and shortages

• Troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise and work with maintenance to resolve

• Properly clean machinery to standards

• Shut down machinery at the end of the day

Physical demands for the Pressing Operator:

• Frequent standing and walking

• Occasional climbing, bending, stooping and twisting

• Occasional lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds

• Ability to work under pressure, handle stress and multi task
