Position: Welder
Pay$18-$22/hour (DOE)
Schedule: 7:30am - 4pm

GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is seeking a Welder to join a locally owned and well-established specialty fencing construction company in Salem, Oregon. Job Responsibilities:

Testing welding and safety equipment

Cutting, assembling, and repairing building components like girders and beams
-
Checking for gap and angle allowances
-
Welding and assembling metal pieces and products using handheld welding equipment

Setting up parts for welding
-
Using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures
-
Working from specifications, drawings, and weld symbols
-
Preparing and completing work on materials through welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Proficiency in welding techniques
-
Familiarity with safety procedures
-
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and schematics
-
Strong communication skills
-
Excellent hand-eye coordination
-
Steady hands and stamina for prolonged periods of work

Capacity to work with large pieces of metal
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and maneuver safely around equipment
-
Experience operating and setting multiple types of welding equipment
