GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a local food production facility. Join a dynamic team dedicated to producing millions of protein bars daily. Our client is looking to bolster their team with a Quality Compliance Technician to help drive the success of their ambitious scale-up company.


This position is situated approximately 45 minutes outside the Salem area and 30 minutes outside of Newberg. Reliable transportation to and from work is a must.


Your Responsibilities:

  • - Conduct pre-operational sanitation inspections
  • - Verify packaging integrity
  • - Perform metal detection and X-ray verification
  • - Conduct routine product checks and verify formulas
  • - Train and coach employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • - Enforce GMPs to ensure the production of high-quality products in a safe environment
  • - Uphold company quality standards and ensure compliance
  • - Monitor plant operations to ensure delivery of quality products within specifications
  • - Provide timely feedback to production operations and supervision on critical process measurements
  • - Conduct routine testing and quality checks as per schedule
  • - Perform allergen and gluten testing in accordance with certifying bodies and internal procedures
  • - Assess product quality and determine acceptance or rejection from processing
  • - Ensure proper labeling and date coding on containers
  • - Verify equipment calibration and maintain documentation
  • - Communicate any non-conformance issues to the quality supervisor or director of quality

Your Qualifications:

  • - Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience
  • - Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP); HACCP training preferred
  • - Strong team player with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
  • - Commitment to food safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • - Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required
