Albany, OR Breakfast Attendant

GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring for a local hotel in Albany, OR. Our customer is searching for a breakfast room attendant to add to their team. Their goal is to offer each of their guests high-quality lodging accommodations at a reasonable price, delivered with professional service in a friendly environment. To be a truly excellent hotel, they need exceptional people to help with preparation and maintenance of the hotel breakfast service for hotel guests.

**Must have weekday and weekend availability**

5:00am-1:30/2:00pm

$15-16/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Know guest occupancy and special needs guests in order to properly set up the breakfast buffet

• Set up breakfast room and maintain breakfast buffet display attractively during breakfast hours.

• Greet guests and attend to needs and requests.

• Keep tables cleaned and chairs wiped and straightened after guest use.

• Complete food temperature checks before service.

• Keep work area neat and clean at all times.

• Help to clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.

• Recognize and report all necessary maintenance promptly.

• Break down and store food properly and safely, marking date and item.

• Fill in where needed in kitchen to ensure efficient operations.

• Suggests improvements to the operating format

• Complete side work sheets as required.

• Assist in the development and training of new employees as applicable.

Essential Physical Requirements: 

The essential physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Walks and stands during entire shift.

• Lifts and carries sacks and cases up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, wiping and lifting.

• Work indoors 100%.

• Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from utensils and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.

• Frequent washing of hands.

Knowledge and Skills: 

The special Knowledge or skills necessary for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Use standard kitchen utensils and kitchen equipment, including ovens, griddles, broilers, fryers, sauté pans, etc.

• Excellent verbal and written skills are required.

• Help to project the approximate numbers of guests to be served on a daily basis and control food preparation.

• Perform all job functions in accordance with Company safety polices and in compliance with HACCP and applicable hazardous chemicals and energy statues by both State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)

Licenses, certifications, or registrations required for this position:

Current Food Handler Card
