GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is seeking Maintenance technicians for a local food production facility in McMinnville, Oregon. As a Maintenance technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility equipment, contributing to the consistent delivery of high-quality products.
Schedule:
- Rotating schedule with flexibility for all shifts, including overtime
- 12-hour shifts: 5:00 am - 5:00 pm or 5:00 pm - 5:00 am
Pay:
- $25.00/hour - $36.00/hour DOE
Job Duties:
- - Perform installations and repairs on a wide variety of facility equipment fixtures and systems
- - Effectively communicate with production and mechanical teams regarding concerns, maintenance issues, and other mechanical needs
- - Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot PLC controls, motor controls, circuits, and grounding
- - Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- - Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- - Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly, installation, or defects
- - Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
- - Perform plumbing maintenance, carpentry functions, and building and ground maintenance
- - Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
- - Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements:
- - Ability to identify and report any Food Safety issues
- - Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- - Basic math and Office 365 skills
- - Prior experience in a maintenance program preferred
- - Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility
- - Availability for any shift, including rotating schedules and overtime
- - Fluency in English for job-related tasks
Physical Requirements:
- - Frequent sitting, walking, bending, and squatting (up to 13 hours)
- - Occasional kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and working at heights
- - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver full drums of chemicals with assistance
- - Manual dexterity for handling equipment and materials
