Scale Office Clerk / Metals Laborer

SCALE OFFICE CLERK / METALS LABORER | $19.50/HR | PART-TIME | TUALATIN, OR

GLISS Staffing is hiring a Scale Office Clerk / Metals Laborer for a recycling and metals facility in Tualatin, OR. This is a part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of office work and hands-on labor in a warehouse/outdoor environment.

We’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals with strong customer service skills who are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

JOB DUTIES

• Weigh trucks in and out using a truck scale

• Enter scrap metal and electronics transactions into the system

• Perform basic cash handling and daily till counts

• Answer phones and assist customers at the scale and yard

• Sort metals and remove non-metal items or contaminants

• Keep scale, yard, and metal areas clean and safe

• Direct incoming traffic for safe flow through the facility

• Assist metal buyers and customers as needed

• Perform other general labor and cleanup duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, 10-key preferred)

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working in an outdoor/warehouse environment

• Able to lift up to 49 lbs unassisted

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

PAY & SCHEDULE

Pay: $19.50/hour
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 11:30am – 4:30pm

• Saturday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
