Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
The Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our supply chain and inventory management processes. This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing machine parts and supplies, ensuring that all components are available for timely service and repair operations.

Duties

• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming parts and materials in compliance with safety and food industry standards.

• Maintain an organized parts room and ensure parts are clearly labeled and accessible.

• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor usage and initiate reorders to maintain optimal stock levels of critical and commonly used parts.

• Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to anticipate part needs for planned and emergency repairs.

• Manage vendor communications for order status, delivery issues, or returns.

• Maintain accurate documentation and part records, including serial numbers, warranties, and equipment compatibility.

• Ensure all parts and storage areas comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 5S standards, and company food safety policies.

• Assist with receiving, tracking, and issuing maintenance tools and consumables.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of inventory or warehouse experience, preferably in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with CMMS or inventory management systems.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, inventory systems).

• Understanding of safety standards and GMPs in a food processing facility.
