ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Industrial Shift Lead, you will guide your team through the day-to-day operations of a large-scale manufacturing facility. From running key equipment systems to mentoring team members and ensuring product quality, you’ll be the go-to person for both performance and accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 
Set and uphold standards for housekeeping, safety, quality, and productivity across the shift
 - 
Monitor shift performance and implement improvement initiatives
 - 
Lead and support personal development and cross-training within the team
 - 
Operate and oversee systems such as: green in-feed, dryer, hammer mill, kiln dry, and pellet mill
 - 
Accurately record production, downtime, and maintain operator logs
 - 
Monitor quality tests and resolve out-of-spec results at the root cause
 - 
Act as backup in any position on the shift as needed
 - 
Support the Production Manager with additional operational tasks
 
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 
3–5 years of leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing setting
 - 
Background in wood pellet production is highly preferred
 - 
Strong communication and documentation skills
 - 
A leadership style that’s adaptable, motivating, and hands-on
 - 
Ability to coach, train, and hold others accountable
 - 
Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot production processes
 - 
Continuous improvement mentality and team-first attitude
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 
Able to walk, stand, and move between buildings for most of the shift
 - 
Comfortable with physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, crawling
 - 
Able to lift at least 50 lbs regularly
 - 
Must be ready to visually inspect and observe equipment and surroundings
 
WORKING CONDITIONS / SCHEDULE:

Indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment
 - 
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
 - 
Full-time, rotating shift schedule — flexibility required
