QA/QC TECHNICIAN | $18–$19/HR | FULL-TIME | SALEM, OR

We’re hiring a QA/AC Technician for a local company in Salem that values precision, safety, and teamwork. In this role, you’ll be testing ingredients, packaging, and finished products, keeping detailed records, and helping maintain quality standards across the board.

 

JOB DETAILS:

  • Perform testing on raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods

  • Record and track test results accurately

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of lab equipment and supplies

  • Ensure lab equipment is in working condition and report any repair needs

  • Perform scheduled materials inspections in accordance with company standards

  • Handle chemicals and operate mechanical testing equipment safely

  • Assist with yeast cultivation, culture transfer, and waste treatment

  • Maintain inventory of chemical reagents

  • Uphold confidentiality of formulas, methods, and trade-specific information

 

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of food manufacturing quality control practices (education-based or hands-on)

  • Experience with lab equipment, chemical reagents, and indicators

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during testing procedures

  • Comfortable working in heat, cold, or dusty environments

  • Capable of performing sanitation and clean-up tasks

  • Strong math skills for unit conversions, percentages, and concentration calculations

 

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time

  • Monday–Thursday daytime schedule (exact hours may vary)
