Job Description: Inventory Specialist

As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting company goals. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies to transport products and materials to designated locations.

  • Receive materials into the organization and verify their accuracy against purchase orders, ensuring proper delivery.

  • Participate in the routing, counting, and inspection of items during loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform cycle counts based on the count plan from the ERP system, identifying and addressing discrepancies promptly.

  • Identify root causes of cycle count discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to enhance inventory accuracy.

  • Monitor inventory levels and promptly report quantity discrepancies to supervisors or managers.

  • Issue materials to various departments upon request, accurately transacting inventory quantities and delivering parts to the designated work areas.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of related experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is a non-climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that exceed OSHA limits, requiring a hearing conservation program.

  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs.

  • Continuous ability to walk, talk, sit, stand, and communicate verbally throughout the scheduled shift.

  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
