Job description:
We’re seeking an experienced Steel Fitter Fabricator to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll help build large-scale metal structures such as buildings, bridges, and industrial equipment. You’ll work from blueprints to fit, align, and secure components using a range of tools and equipment, playing a key part in bringing engineering designs to life.
Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Mark and measure metal parts for cutting and bending

Prepare materials and determine required lengths and quantities

Position and align components using tools such as clamps, jacks, and pry bars

Cut, bend, and shape metal to precise specifications

Secure parts with bolts, clamps, or tack welds before final welding

Operate fabrication machines (e.g., shears, drills, grinders, flame cutters)

Collaborate with welders and other team members to ensure accurate assembly

Perform quality checks to confirm components meet project requirements
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in structural fitting or steel fabrication, at least 5 years.

Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

Comfortable working with fabrication tools and heavy machinery

Strong physical stamina — ability to lift, bend, and climb as needed

High attention to detail and focus on precision

Good communication and teamwork skills
