Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our production team in manufacturing high-quality grabs, grapples, and clamshell buckets for bulk material handling equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components used in our heavy-duty attachments, ensuring they meet exacting quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, milling machines, plasma cutters, etc.) to machine steel components for grabs, grapples, and clamshell buckets.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and part specifications related to large-scale fabricated equipment.

  • Load raw steel or metal stock and oversee machining processes to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances.

  • Adjust machine settings and offsets as needed to maintain production quality.

  • Collaborate with welders, fitters, and assembly teams to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines and report mechanical issues promptly.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade or technical school certification is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in heavy fabrication or industrial equipment manufacturing.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.

  • Familiarity with machining large steel components and working with tight tolerances.

  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is an asset.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
