Job description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join one of our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within the facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in our operations.
Duties

Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.

Read and interpret schematics to understand equipment layouts and systems.

Fabricate parts as needed to support maintenance operations.

Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.

Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns promptly.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Experience

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair and maintain various types of equipment.

Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.

Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for collaboration with team members and reporting issues.

Previous experience in supervising maintenance tasks or teams is advantageous.
