The Consumer Goods & Industry Business Unit manages the supply chain process for customers within several sectors such as Home & Garden, Consumer Electronics, E-commerce, Apparel, Sports & Leisure, Health and Personal Care, (Pet)food, Aftermarket, Automotive & Industry.
Your mission
For the further growth in North America, we are seeking a Business Development Manager for the North American market. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth of the network, brand awareness, the detection of new Business Opportunities and the acquisition of new customers, contributing to further expansion of the logistics platforms. The Business Development Manager works closely with the Commercial Director to achieve the commercial targets.
Your main objective is to grow the network and detect new potential Business Opportunities.
- You will co-define the business development strategy together with a team.
- You can translate this business development strategy into a go-to-market plan and lead lists, and then implement the necessary sales actions.
- You can expand your network, create awareness and interest with the leads / potential customers by organizing direct sales actions (cold calling and prospection) and by being actively present at trade shows, fairs, seminars, and events.
- You enjoy connecting with the C-level of leads / potential customers and turn these into prospects.
- Together with the team, you convince the potential customers and materialize the signature of new contracts.
- Your office is in Houston, Texas, but we expect you to spend most of your time together with the leads, prospects, and potential customers. You will work closely with international Business Development colleagues.

- You are a true hunter who derives satisfaction from initiating conversations and building relationships.
- You work independently and you can implement the defined go-to-market plan.
- You focus daily on connecting and following up with leads / prospects to build and maintain a good sales pipeline.
- You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and you can develop relationships at C-level.
- You have minimum 5 years’ business development experience in a B2B function
- Background or at least affinity with Logistics and Warehousing.
- Business/Sales/Logistics bachelor’s or master’s Degree
- Willing to travel on a somewhat frequent basis (20- 25%).
