Your profile looks like:
- Possess the necessary experience with solenoids / electromechanical / motion control products.
- Great tenure at previous companies with a proven tack record of success (Reasonable changes/moves will be acceptable)
- Know how to sell and close new business. This is a pure hunter role & must have the autonomy to understand what needs to be done to secure new business
- Knowledge of CRM tools - Oracle NetSuite CRM knowledge is preferred
- Strong communication skills, as you are the liaison between the customer & the engineering team.
- Ability to understand the innerworkings of products.
Salary: Up to $140K salary (commensurate with experience) + UNCAPPED commission
Mon - Fri schedule with up to 75% travel at times

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION |
The Sales Manager serves as a critical liaison between customers and engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of needs and solutions. This role leverages customer feedback and sales data to contribute to the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of complex applications and technical solutions. The Sales Manager provides expert technical guidance and support, including testing applications, addressing customer feedback, and ensuring optimal performance. Additionally, they lead sales presentations and product demonstrations to effectively communicate value propositions and drive business growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Function as the main technical liaison to communicate between the Customer and internal resources.
- Passionately drives new business growth both internally and externally in cooperation with the Customer, Sales, Business Development, and Engineering.
- Collaborates with Customer’s Engineers to build relationships, discover opportunities, aid, and recommend new applications for robust solutions.
- Communicates regularly between Customer, engineering, sales, business development, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality on current projects. Provides key information necessary for product design and product development to create optimized designs for the customer.
- Proactively seek new Business Opportunities within existing customer base, and potential customer base, qualifying callers as potential customers.
- Collaborate with Product Development to ensure that new development projects will meet future customer expectations.
- Identification of target markets/ applications, to execute market penetration objectives, including product line refinement & enhancement.
- Provides necessary support documentation to the customer.
- Drives ideas for new or improved products and their applications.
- Utilizes influence, experience, personal contacts, and professional reputation to satisfy the customer and alert the team to new growth opportunities / competitive threats / needs for benchmarking.
- Communicates directly with customers and internal departments concerning field returns / warranty concerns / quality concerns.
- Receives guidance in line with corporate objectives.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales Development.
- Able to work with confidential matters: New products and plans, customer drawings, pending patents, development programs.
- Demonstrates initiative and creative ability along with good presentation skills.
- Must be able to translate the customer’s requirements and follow project through successful completion including coordinating of efforts internally and with the customer.
- Exercises good discretionary decision making in line with corporate policy when dealing with customers or professional groups.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence others.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Provide technical responses to customers based on data gathered from internal resources.
- Market and SWOT Analysis - Identify if company product(s) match the customer’s needs.
