About the client: They are a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company with a strong track record in industrial plant engineering for delivering customized innovative solutions in the food & chemical industries. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team in Baytown, Texas.

They service every client starting from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, procurement and manufacturing, up until installation and commissioning.

Job Description:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving the growth of their food processing solutions. You will work closely with the Sales Management team to develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, projects, and emerging trends in the EPC industry.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitor strategies, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows/conferences to generate new leads and/or business opportunities.
  • Create and manage a marketing plan to target new clients and industries within the food space.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Identify, approach, and establish connections with potential clients and manufacturers to expand our client base.
  • Prepare company presentations and submit proposals, bids, and presentations in response to new projects, RFPs and RFQs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals align with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Guide negotiations with clients to secure new contracts and partnerships.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities and progress.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to build a strong professional network and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Represent the company at relevant associations and forums to increase visibility and credibility.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in business development, capital equipment sales in the EPC industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Industry network food processing
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
