The Medical Device MFG Technical program manager is the primary contact for client companies throughout the development process and ongoing design transfer to manufacturing. These individual coordinates program activities within SRC and keeps our clients informed and engaged.

The program manager collects and organizes design input from our clients and works with internal teams to develop programs which meet the client's needs and expectations. This individual interacts closely with senior staff on deliverable schedules, and financial commitments to clients. The program manager ensures that SRC team activities remain focused and aligned with client’s objectives and makes any necessary adjustments as requirements evolve.

The ability to represent SRC’s technical expertise while understanding our clients’ regulatory, financial, logistical, and marketing perspectives is essential. As the technical lead, the program manager must also be able to work with teams at the design level to understand challenges, guide solutions, and independently assess risk and progress.


Responsibilities:

• Work with clients to gather and organize program and product requirements

• Work with SRC teams and management to develop and propose programs, including deliverables, schedule, cost, and resourcing

    o includes proposed architectural approach and opportunities to leverage SRC platform technologies

• Coordinate team activities through all stages of development from concept to manufacturing transfer and technical support post manufacturing transfer.

• Coordinate training and support of sustaining engineering and service teams

• Leverage team expertise to identify and address technical and schedule risks early

• Maintain focus of team activities on program commitments and client needs, as well as any changes to requirements

• Work with VP of Product Development to allocate resources and prioritize activities

• Hold regular (usually weekly) meetings with clients to convey progress, and coordinate deliverables and collaboration (e.g., bench testing/evaluation/animal studies)

Prerequisites

• MS (or BS with 10+ years experience) in one of the following fields:

    o EE, EE/CS, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics

• Ability to understand electrical schematics

• Ability to understand code in C, C++, Python

• Proficient understanding of classical physics

• Proficient understanding of the following areas

    o feedback control systems

    o frequency-domain analysis

    o switch-mode power supplies

    o resonant circuits

• Good grammar and communication skills (written and spoken)

• Good organizational skills

• Prior experience

    o 10+ years experience in electronic equipment development under quality systems and design controls

    o familiarity with the medical device development process

    o electronic circuit design at a senior level

    o use of FPGAs and firmware

    o technical project management


Pay range: $140,000 to $190,000. 


The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including role, level, equity with other team members and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, benchmark data, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock option program, as applicable.
