Grader

SUMMARY: Inspect, separate, box or nest hardwood flooring according to product specification. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Responsible for following Job Safety Analysis guidelines to ensure safe operations
• Inspect hardwood flooring according to Product Specification
• Mark defects according to cutting rules
• Mark or separate timberland boards
• Box or nest graded flooring within specific time limits paying close attention as to not miss any defects
• Keep area clean and wood off floor during and at the end of the shift
• Must successfully complete grader certification and pass a written exam
• Assist in training new  graders
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Must have positive and verifiable work history (minimum 1 year with same employer)
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency at all times in a labor intense non-temperature controlled environment, on feet, using repetitive hand movements. 
• Recent manufacturing experience in the wood industry preferred.
• Recent manufacturing experience in an industrial work environment required.
