POSITION SUMMARY

The Pilot Plant Administrator position is a staffing services position with ESA working for a specialty

chemical client in the operation of their pilot plant for lithium recovery and conversion to lithium

carbonate located at the Lanxess El Dorado South Plant. The applicant to the position should has a

certificate in business administration from an accredited business program; prior experience as an

administrator/office manager is preferred. The Pilot Plant Administrator will need to have extensive

knowledge of plant operations, procurement, and inventory management. This is a

pilot/demonstration plant environment, so the applicant must be willing to be flexible in any daily

duties as priorities may change regularly. Strong written/verbal communication skills are a must.


GENERAL DUTIES

  • Must be willing and able to follow all safety and health protocols already in place at the Pilot
  • Plant.
  •  Procure necessary items for the Pilot Plant and associated laboratories e.g. chemical totes
  • from preferred vendors, Personnel Protective Equipment (Safety boots, gloves, personal
  • monitors).
  •  Procure items requested by Engineering and Maintenance staff – direction will be provided
  • on items being ordered.
  •  Liaise with Lanxess South Plant personnel on equipment and consumables deliveries.
  •  Manage consumables inventory within the Pilot Plant.
  •  Interact and give tours of the Pilot Plant to external visitors/third parties on an as needed
  • basis.
  •  Liaise with the Standard Lithium’s Arkansas Administrative Manager when external

visitors/third parties tour the Pilot Plant and Standard Lithium’s El Dorado Downtown office.

  •  Support the organization of tours/group workshops on an as needed basis.
  •  Compile and file Process Orders, receipts, delivery notifications to monitor delivery status of
  • procured items.
  •  Compile Pilot Plant and Project related expense reports for Pilot Plant Manager and
  • associated personnel within the working group.
  •  Liaise with Standard Lithium’s corporate office (based in Vancouver, B.C.) and finance office
  • (based in Austin, TX) to put in place procedures and systems as part of the company’s
  • expansion into commercial operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  •  Certificate in business administration, communications, or another related field.
  •  Extensive knowledge of procurement and inventory management.
  •  Excellent written/verbal skills.
  •  Strong attention to detail.
  •  Good interpersonal skills required to communicate with and support a Pilot Plant staff of
  • approximately 35 - 40 operations, maintenance, and engineering staff and liaise with various
  • company consultants, experts, and third party visitors.
  •  Must be physically mobile - pilot plant is on three floors with only stair access.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  •  At least one year of experience in an industrial environment (chemical plant operations is preferred).
