Responsibilities:

• Assist student support services with providing population-level support to a diverse student population, including those who demonstrate challenging behaviors or temporary difficulties with self-regulation.

• Gather and collect initial and ongoing behavior data, follows provided protocols, and document collected data pursuant to guidelines and parameters provided.

• Participate in ongoing training as required and provided by the school district.

• Possess an understanding of and a willingness to work with a diverse student population, including those with additional behavior support needs. 

• Demonstrate the capabilities of taking specific directions, carrying out those directions, and providing feedback to supervisors on the success and outcomes of following those directions.

• Capable and proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, students’ parents, colleagues, and supervisors.

• Work alongside parents, guardians, and families to meet the behavioral and social-emotional learning needs of their children.

• Accepting professional, objective performance feedback with an ability to reflect and modify actions as needed to better support students.

• Support students in moments of crisis and difficulty with the goal that students served will return to the classroom to productively re-engage in learning.

• Consult and collaborate with site and district staff as needed; and

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-year previous Social Services

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• MS Office

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
