DecisionPathHR is hiring for a Core Slabber ( Machine Operator) in the South Charlotte area!
The Core Slabber Machine Operator will perform duties/task assigned by management and efficiently and safely operate Core cutter and Backwinder machine.
Details:
• Schedule: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Responsibilities:
• Operate Core Cutter and Backwinder to recover cores.
• Retrieve scrap material from Slitting area and deliver carts to the Slitting area.
• Abide by all Safety procedures. Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits when starting up, operating, and shutting down equipment and handling material. Practice proper lockout/tag out procedures. Safe use of Core Slabber blade.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.
• Ensure general quality of all work meets company standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other groups within the organization.
• Ensure breaks and lunches are taken per policy and time is not abused.
• Maintain a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-worker
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment required
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good attendance and safety records
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set-up / operate multiple machines
• Must have a stellar work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels within the organization.
• Able to implement, follow, and continuously improve safety, environmental, and health guidelines and procedures.
• Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills.
