Packer Position

Hours: M - F 7a-3:30p

Pay rate: $14hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Packages and labels raw materials into finished good products

• Provides first line quality control for raw products and finished goods to ensure they meet standards

• Helps maintain Packaging area cleanliness and organization

• May provide adjustments on automated packaging equipment

• Fills out production paperwork noting quantities and material used in the process of packaging

• May be required to trim or otherwise modify some products prior to packaging

• Pull necessary raw material from shelves for packaging into finished goods

• Print necessary labels for finished product

• Perform all other tasks as required when assigned

Required Capabilities:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Entry level position, no previous job experience required

• Good basic math skills

• Better than average analytical skills

• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions

• Willing to work overtime when necessary

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. repeatedly

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time – this is a stand-up position

• Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects

• Finger/wrist dexterity for grabbing/packaging product

• Must be able to get along well with a variety of different people

• Ability to work a variety of jobs

• Ability to exchange information with co-workers and work as part of a team

Essential Functions:

• Ability to communicate professionally via telephone and electronically at various organizational levels

• Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce

• Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, sit and stand for extended periods of time

• Must be comfortable working with automated packaging equipment
