Job Summary:
A national light industrial and logistics warehouse located in Grand Prairie, TX is currently seeking an Engine Mechanic for their 1st shift. These are Temp To Perm positions that offer a great entry level opportunity to join a dynamic team full time, based on performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Rebuild automobile cylinder heads
- Engine rebuild
- Shop mechanic
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience rebuilding engine components
- Experience in honing valve guides and set up measuring tools
- 2 years' experience in porting heads and perform development on new raw castings
- Knowing how to install seats and guides and what press needs to be
- Grinding valves, full inspection on heads, and checking valve springs
- Able to read and work from Blueprints
- Strong mechanical abilities, proficiency with typical measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, torque wrenches, etc. typical in engine build and machine shops
- Engine related machining operations, cylinder block boring, honing, and decking
- Perform physical duties involving standing, sitting, and lifting to 50lbs, using upper body, arms, and hands to pull on wrenches used in the machining process
Starting Hourly Pay: $16-$23
Days: Monday-Friday
1st Shift 7A.M. to 4:30P.M.
