Counter Sales

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for a temp to hire assignment with a successful building supply company in the Hilton Head area.

This is a Counter Sales role and is a career-oriented position for the right candidate. Great customer service, an outgoing and friendly personality, and the ability to handle a busy and bustling environment are keys. This position will have the opportunity to grow into other areas of Sales and Marketing with the company.

Starting Salary: $15.00 an hour

Duties:

• Timely and accurately prepare quotes, purchase orders, and vendor order tracking on lumber and building supply products.

• Provide support to Outside Sales Representatives, Contractors, and Homeowners.

• Conduct root - cause analysis when there are discrepancies with quotes versus received goods.

• Process returns and trouble-shoot orders

• Timely and accurately process quotes to bids in system

• Respond to requests about status of orders

• Always provide exemplary customer service experience

• Source and purchase special order products, as needed

• Maintain payments, files and inventory

• Promptly handle in person and phone customer requests

• Promptly communicate any delays and/or backorders to customers and outside salesman

• Function as an effective liaison between company and its customers

• Assist other departments if necessary

• Promote the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values at all times.

• Always maintain personal integrity and a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers

Qualifications:

• Highly motivated self - starter who shows initiative and a drive for excellence

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed

• Customer Service - 2 years minimum

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a background check

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
