HIRING CLASS A CDL DRIVER FOR A LONG TERM, CAREER OPPORTUNITY!

 

The driver / delivery person is responsible for delivering building material products or supplies to customers, vendors or other company locations. Duties include operating freight handling equipment, maintenance and operation of company vehicles including stake body, tandem, boom truck, pickup truck and box van.

 

Starting Salary: $20.00 an hour

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to the following

•Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

•Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.

•Loads and unloads the truck as needed with either powered material handling equipment or manually.

•Maintains the yard in an safe and orderly manner

•Must safely operate yard equipment including lift trucks, pallet jacks, lumber carts, banding equipment, radial arm saw and other powered hand tools as needed

•Must communicate effectively with customers, management and other employees

•Must visually verify contents of the incoming and outgoing loads.

•Must maintain a good driving record and lawfully operate all company vehicles.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess a CDL CLASS A License
