Position: Quality Auditor   

Pay Rate/Range: 15.41 per hour + $1.00 shift Differential for 2nd shift 

Description: The Quality Auditor inspects and tests materials, components, and sub-assemblies at various stages of production to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products to ensure continued customer satisfaction. This position will work very closely with production lines and other departments to ensure accuracy, meet product requirements, and complete production assignments efficiently. This position may be required to work on Friday’s based on the production schedule. 

Job Requirements: Understand engineering drawings/specifications and quality standards according to meet product requirements. Conduct in-process and final inspection activities on sub-assemblies and components to diagnose malfunctions. Set-up and perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, component or sub-assemblies to measure performance, life or material characteristics. Tests include Peel Testing, Leak Testing, Hi-Pot Testing, & Run Testing as required or dictated by business necessity. Record all test data using check sheets and enter the data into the Quality Database or prepare the data in graph or chart form (SPC), maintaining accurate records. Re-inspect all reworked materials, components, and sub-assemblies to ensure product meets engineering drawings/specifications and quality standards. Identify non-conforming material to ensure quality standards are met. Communicate with line supervisors and/or Quality Management as needed concerning results of in-process inspections, final inspections, destructive & non-destructive testing or other issues that may affect quality. Problem Solving/Analysis - Breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts. Productivity - Manages a fair workload, volunteers for additional work, prioritizes tasks, develops good work procedures, manages time well, handles information flow. Quality - Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems. Teamwork - Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities, listens to others and values opinions, helps team leader to meet goals, welcomes newcomers and promotes a team atmosphere. Work Environment/Safety - Promotes mutual respect, keeps workplace clean and safe, supports safety programs. Dependability - Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements. High School Diploma. One year HVAC quality product knowledge. Sheet metal fabrication background and basic electrical assembly/testing preferred. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control preferred. Basic Math skills are required, including the calculation of percentages. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. 

Computer Skills: 

Proficient with MS OfficeAbility to understand, develop and utilize flow charts, Pareto and control charts 

Certificates & Licenses:  

ASQ certification preferred 

Job Type: contract to hire or temporary  

Shift/Schedule

1st 10-hour shift, Mon-Thu (possible Fri & Sat). - 6am to 4:30PM Monday - Thursday Mandatory overtime Friday & Saturday  

2nd shift 10-hour shift, Mon-Thu (possible Fri & Sat). – 4:30PM to 3:00AM
