The ideal welder will be flexible to operate a machine and help anywhere in the manufacturing facility, depending on business needs
Key Responsibilities:
Weld ends of the pope and connecters as they come off the machines
Perform basic Stick (SMAW) welding on various metal components according to blueprints and welding procedures.
Inspect welds and finished products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
Assist with machine maintenance and cleaning.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Communicate with supervisors and team members about progress and issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of Stick welding (SMAW); welding certification is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with CNC equipment or willingness to learn.
Ability to read basic technical drawings and blueprints.
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced staff.
Preferred Skills (not required):
Completion of a vocational training program or welding school.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or welding environment.
Basic understanding of welding symbols and CNC programming.
