Position: Sew Machine Operator - 1st Shift
Pay Rate/Range: $17 -$18 Hour
Description:
Industrial Sewing Machine Operator uses industrial sewing machine to join, sew, gather, hem, and reinforce materials. Will use templates and make adjustments as needed. Will set up, select appropriate threading, needles and patterns and then guide the fabric through the machine. Must be able to work quickly and accurately, with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. The ability to read tape measure and good with math is required. May require lifting to 50lbs.
Job Requirements:
High School or GED equivalent preferred. Candidates interested in company-sponsored GED program will be considered. You will have a respectful approach to working with others and prior experience with:
- Basic math skills required including the ability to read a tape measure.
- Prior manufacturing experience required. 1 year experience preferred. Steel Toed Boots required.
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 5am-3:30pm plus as required Saturday OT ½ days
