Shift Times: 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm or 5:30pm - 4pm - must be able to work either times & mandatory OT on Friday & Saturday per management Summary: Clear parts, inspects, assembles, disassembles and test transmissions Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Inspects and qualifies transmission parts using various measuring and test equipment Disassemble, clear and reassemble transmissions using tools, hand tools, semi-automated and fully-automated equipment Records various data in process via manual and electric methods Perform operators preventative maintenance or assigned equipment Clear and maintain orderly work area Recommends measure to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the TS 16949 and ISO 14001 systems Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for multiples hours at a time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will frequently perform tasks requiring forceful repetitive grasping. The employee is occasionally required to walk for extended periods of time; bend, stop, kneel or crouch and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Must be able to read and understand English's Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is regular exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usably moderate.
