Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, with some OT on Saturdays 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (sometimes 3:30 or even 4:30, just depending on the need for OT) and one line starts an hour later at 7:00 am. 2nd Shift: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am (sometimes later, depending on need) Pay: 1st Shift: $18.11 2nd Shift: $19.11 Description: Job Title: Assembler Location: Plant 15 Summary/Objective: The assembler performs repetitive work-station/line-assembly operations to mass produce axle components or to assemble those components onto a completed axle. Assemblers are responsible for working in a SAFE manner according to the policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook. Assemblers are involved in company programs that highlight safety improvements, new procedures and new/different use of tools and equipment to improve quality and efficiency. Job Duties: Assemblers are responsible for reading and understanding the following documentation: · Standard Operating Procedures · Job Hazard Analysis · Shop Floor Orders · Job Aids Assemblers are responsible for the following: · Assemble axles and component axle parts · Verify specifications by measuring axle/parts · Follow all procedures and shop floors to insure a QUALITY product · Inform supervisor of any and all shortages and possible substitutions · Follow schedules and insure that schedules are completed on time and correctly · Inform the supervisor/group leader of any problems or quality defects · Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations · Work within and promoting a TEAM atmosphere among co-workers · Rework axles as needed · Perform other tasks or duties as assigned Requirements: · Assemblers must be certified for the job he/she is performing or is within their training period to be certified according to the training procedures · Assemblers must be safety conscious, detail-oriented and have the ability to work well with others in a team environment · Must possess a good work ethic, be adaptable to a fast paced work environment · Must have the flexibility to work overtime · Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
