Summary: Perform tasks associated with the final assembly, loading and testing of software into the Accessible Pedestrian System (APS). Duties will also include packaging and labeling of the products ensuring the customer sales order instructions are fulfilled accurately. This position will collaborate closely with Customer Service and Engineering to ensure the configuration of the products is completed as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): • Perform tasks identified by the customer sales order and configuration template. • Confirm accurate test results generated from assigned configuration testing and evaluation. • Accurately label tested units and ensure products are packaged to meet customer requirements. • Monitor test equipment as required to ensure engineering testing requirements are met. • Establish priority as required to satisfy sales order and customer requirements. Competencies: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: (knowledge, skill, and abilities required to perform the job) • Knowledge of electronic test equipment and loading software to a device is preferred. • Ability to problem solve while interacting with Engineering and Customer Service. • A strong team player with a “can do” attitude and commitment to get the job done. • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new operating systems and procedures. • Familiarity with reading technical specifications and/or engineering drawings is preferred. • Proficiency with common hand and power tools. • Excellent communication skills Education and/or Experience: Required: • High School diploma, GED or equivalent • Technical and/or Manufacturing experience with a manufacturing company. • Strong computer skills Preferred: • Software programming experience Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
