Welding Equipment Miller Power Supply Cobra Matic – Push Pull Wire feeder Materials: .125 Sheet Aluminum .160 Sheet Aluminum .249 Sheet Aluminum Positions: Uphill Downhill Some Overhead Multi Angle on most assembly parts General Information: • Every candidate will be assigned an experienced mentor/trainer • Position is a fitter welder • Step progressions from entry level – fitter- fitter/welder – level one through level 3 • Structural welding • Primary functions of aluminum welding: Heat – wire speed – cup angle – travel speed (you must push forward, you can not drag with this process) • UV reflection is very intense, darker shade lens is required – auto lens preferred – larger lens will help visibility • General tools provided in workstation, including gloves and safety glasses • Weld testing will be determined on step progression during a one-hour test.
