Responsible for the overall cleaning and appearance of assigned areas on a daily basis, following the specifications of the current contract

Responsible for overall cleaning and appearance of assigned areas on a daily basis following the specifications of the current contract. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment to perform the scope of work.

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site and any other background check agency deems necessary
  • Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance
  • Must be able to work independently

The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this job description:

  • Standing up to 8 hours
  • Able to lift maximum weight of 50 pounds vertically*
  • Able to lift maximum weight of 25 pounds horizontally*
  • Able to carry above-described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet*
  • The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling.  May also grasp, push, pull, drag and lift equipment and other items.
  • Must have mobility, vision, and dexterity levels, appropriate to the duties to be performed

Working hours vary according to availability of shifts

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight.

  • Performs janitorial and floor tech duties in accordance to cleaning schedule following the specifications of the current contract.
  • Responsible for floor care to include:  refinish floor, extract carpets, or apply floor finish.
  • Proper use of supplies and equipment needed to perform daily floor care responsibilities.
  • Request supplies and equipment, used for daily cleaning, through the designate Lead Person.
  • Maintain all equipment used in daily cleaning.
  • Keep designated cleaning closet or storage area clean and organized.
  • Follow all requests made to clean areas outside those that are assigned to you on a daily basis.
  • Take any question you may have or situations that you are unsure about to your Lead Person for him/her to address.
  • Respond to any other request that may be made by your Lead Person or higher authority.
  • Report All Accidents of Injury IMMEDEDIATELY to your Lead Person.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to your Lead Person.
