JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for specific projects involving contractors, new equipment and existing

equipment. Responsible for sanitation of the general plant and grounds.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Execute SSOP’s, for all equipment & facility cleaning activities.

- Follow all facility Quality, Food Safety, and Personal Safety (PPE) policies and requirements.

- Coordinate with Contractors to ensure proper barriers (e.g. hanging plastic) in place during

construction projects.

- Coordinate construction traffic patterns, door usage, and cleaning procedures post construction

work.

- Coordinate and perform specific one-time cleanings as assigned.

- Coordinate with Contractors the cleaning of parts needed for construction (e.g. cleaning product

piping before installation).

- Clean new equipment before use in production

- Clean plant walls, floors, ceilings, restrooms, hallways, stairways, locker rooms and other work

areas.

- Ensures inventory, safe handling, correct measurement, and proper usage of cleaning chemicals.

- Responsible for the documentation of work on the master sanitation schedules (MSS).

- Replenish bathroom supplies, sinks and paper towel dispensers, stock the green rooms, and

maintain foot baths throughout the facility.

- Pick up refuse from plant grounds.

- Attend team, safety, and quality meetings, complete the necessary training / certification

required by supervision, and train others as needed.

- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment as needed.

- Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality

policies and procedures.

- Support a food safety culture within the sites that ensures at a minimum:

o The establishment, documentation, and communication to all relevant staff of food safety

objectives and performance measures;

o Adequate resources are available to meet food safety objectives;

o Food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System are adopted and

maintained;

o Employees are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory

responsibilities;

o Employees are positively encouraged and required to notify management about actual or

potential food safety issues; and Employees are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.

- Maintain regular attendance at work and work overtime as needed.


REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE):

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Previous sanitation experience is required.

- Prior knowledge of chemical handling and storage is preferred.

- Experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.

- Ability to speak and write in English.

- Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with and without

the use of a calculator.

- Basic computer skills would be helpful.

independently and in a team to complete assigned tasks.
