MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN FACILITY MAINTENANCE
Connect Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support facility upkeep and basic building maintenance at a manufacturing site in Huntington Beach, CA.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:15AM to 2:00PM
Requirements for Maintenance Helper:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to use common hand tools and basic power tools safely.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to safely lift up to 25–50 lbs. as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors around heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals, paint solutions, and electricity.
- Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Background check and drug screen if required by the client (not specified by the user; no screening added).
- Prior experience in roles such as General Laborer, Maintenance Assistant, Facilities Helper, Warehouse Associate, Groundskeeping Assistant, or Repair Technician Helper is a plus.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Helper:
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks in support of the Maintenance Technician and production management.
- Complete minor repairs such as fixing door hardware, replacing lights or switches, and repairing simple fixtures.
- Assist with basic plumbing tasks including unclogging drains and fixing leaking faucets or toilets.
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and assist with general facilities cleaning.
- Maintain outdoor grounds including lawn work, trimming, edging, and snow/ice removal if required.
- Inspect basic electrical components and report issues requiring immediate attention.
- Track maintenance supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low.
- Respond promptly to emergency clean-ups or repair requests.
- Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment remain in safe and functional condition.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
- Assist in assembling and testing parts such as pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, and other mechanical system components using hand tools or power tools.
- Replace fuses, bulbs, circuit breakers, or switches within designated safety parameters.
- Operate maintenance equipment such as power hand tools, forklifts (if trained), and electrical testing devices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
