Diesel Forklift Operator

MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF RECENT HIGH-CAPACITY DIESEL FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE

Connect Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Forklift Operator for a lumber company in Riverside, CA.

Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Requirements for Diesel Forklift Operator:

• Must have at least 1 year experience operating a high capacity diesel forklift (4,000 - 7,000 lbs)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Must wear steel toe boots on the job
• Excellent attendance and punctuality (strict attendance policy enforced)
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors and in a physically demanding environment
• Valid forklift certification (not required but highly preferred)
• Prior experience as a sit-down forklift driver, ICE forklift driver, heavy materials forklift driver, material handler, or any lumber yard experience is a big plus!

Responsibilities of the Diesel Forklift Operator:

• Operate a Yale pneumatic tire high-capacity ICE lift truck (4,000 – 7,000 lbs)
• Load and unload materials for shipping and receiving
• Transport lumber and building materials throughout the yard
• Maintain and organize stock material areas
• Consolidate and restock material as needed
• Complete daily forklift checklists to ensure equipment is safe and operational
• Empty trash and wood bins as assigned
• Adhere to all company safety policies and operational procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
