Advanced Machine Operator Trainee

MINIMUM 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN AN INDUSTRIAL OR AUTOMOTIVE ENVIRONMENT

Connect Staffing is seeking an analytical and curious Machine Operator Trainee to help operate a complex and highly-automated press machine for a company that manufactures hardwood flooring in the city of Orange, CA.

Schedule: 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday overtime as needed and Saturday availability  

Requirements of an Advanced Machine Operator Trainee:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a machine operator or quality control specialist in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree or certificate in a mechanical trade highly preferred
• Must have strong analytical abilities and the ability to learn complex concepts
• Strong mechanical reasoning abilities
• Able to measure and log data accurately and consistently
• Prior experience in roles such as Maintenance Technician, CNC Machine Operator, Quality Control Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Automotive Diagnostic Technician, Tool and Die Maker Apprentice, HVAC Installer Assistant, Process Technician, or Millwright Apprentice is a big plus!

Responsibilities of an Advanced Machine Operator Trainee:

• Working with a partner, operate a sophisticated custom press machine for producing hardwood flooring
• Monitor and help troubleshoot highly automated machinery, making adjustments as needed
• Move panels from the pallet to the infeed of the machine, optimizing materials for best results
• Set up the machine from job to job, changing or adjusting tooling based on materials and specifications
• Accurately log downtime and production output data
• Absorb detailed technical information about a one-of-a-kind machine
