Band Saw Operator

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING A HYD-MECH BAND SAW MACHINE

Connect Staffing is looking for a dedicated Band Saw Operator to join a leading Metal Manufacturing Company in North Houston, TX!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:0pmm (Shifts can fluctuate depending on work load)

Band Saw Operator Requirements:

• Must have experience operating a hyd-mech band saw machine.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
• Prior experience in roles as a Saw Operator, Machinist, or Fabricator is a big plus!

Band Saw Operator Responsibilites:

• Set up and operate the Hyd-Mech band saw for cutting metal materials to specified lengths and dimensions. 
• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to ensure proper cutting instructions and specifications are followed. 
• Monitor and adjust machine settings, including speed, feed rates, and blade tension, to ensure accurate and efficient cuts. 
• Inspect materials and cuts for quality, ensuring they meet tolerances and specifications. 
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the band saw to ensure optimal operation and longevity. 
• Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve any machine malfunctions or issues, reporting any necessary repairs to maintenance staff.
