Material Handler / Inventory Specialist

MINIMUM 6 MONTHS OF MATERIAL HANDLING AND INVENTORY EXPERIENCE 

Connect Staffing is seeking a skilled Material Handler / Inventory Specialist for a company that supplies power generators and air compressors in the city of Cypress, CA.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. No weekends.

Requirements of a Material Handler / Inventory Specialist:

• 6 months of material handling experience.
• 6 months of inventory experience.
• Must pass background, drug screen, and E-verify 
• Must know how to operate a forklift
• Must be able to lift to 55 pounds
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Prior experience in roles such as Material Handler, Inventory Clerk, Inventory Control Specialist, Forklift Operator, Raw Materials Handler, and Manufacturing Inventory Coordinator is a huge plus!

Responsibilities of a Material Handler / Inventory Specialist:

• Operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments
• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations
• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information
• Confirms shipping details or special instructions
• Move material from receiving areas to designated inventory areas and mount generators onto trailers
• Validates, approves and forwards invoices to the accounting department
