Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Connect staffing is looking for a dedicated Shipping and Receiver to join a leading chemical distributor in the North Houston area!

Schedule : Monday – Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of forklift experience.
• Must have at least one year of chemical handling experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
• Prior experience in roles such as a forklift operator, outbound associate, freight forwarder, or shipping and receiving clerk is a big plus!

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Select and gather products from inventory based on order specifications and ensure accuracy.
• Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with shipping standards.
• Operate a forklift to move large IBC containers and drums and load the material onto trailers. 
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including labels, packing slips, and invoices.
• Inspect items for defects or damage and handle returns or exchanges as needed.
• Arrange and manage the transportation of goods from the warehouse to various destinations, ensuring timely delivery.
• Evaluate and select appropriate carriers or shipping methods based on cost, transit time, and service quality.
• Monitor shipments, provide tracking updates to clients, and resolve any issues or delays that arise during transit.
