Corporate Job Bank Professional Search has an outstanding management opportunity. The Manufacturing Supervisor is required to work in all the areas of capital equipment and/or semiconductor production operations supervision within this engineering and design facility. This includes a cleanroom technical environment. This position is a hands-on position within the production area and will report to the President.

This has a fantastic work schedule of Monday- Friday 5am-3:30pm and no weekends!


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Manufacturing Supervisor is required to spend 90% of their day on the production floor.
  • The Manufacturing Supervisor is also responsible for driving the process of continuous improvement and lean principles in this functional area.
  • Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
  • Effectively manages individuals and teams including performance management, conflict resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and quality objectives. 
  • Use hands-on approach to communicate daily and involve production staff in problem solving
  • Review general status of production schedules to identify and resolve problems
  • Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices
  • Take notice of process related problems and support production staff in taking corrective action to improve the overall performance of the team
  • This position requires a passion and understanding for Lean, Six Sigma, 5-S and driving continuous improvement.
  • The expert candidate will be involved with the safety efforts of the organization, participate in Kaizen activities and drive employee engagement.
  • Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
  • Complies with relevant industry regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
  • Hires, trains, and develops staff members.
  • Maintains a current training/skill matrix.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills. 
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met. 

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline/equivalent preferred. 
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry highly preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment desired. 
  • Prior experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects desired. 
  • 5-7+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing required.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, Epicor preferred
