 Job Title: Welder II - Aerospace Fabrication

·        Location: 35th Ave & Indian School

·        Shift/Hours: 1st Shift (5:30am – 2pm)

·        Pay: $21-35/hr. DOE

·        Temp-Hire role

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Perform advanced welding operations to support the fabrication of aerospace parts and components.

·        Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications for welding projects.

·        Set up and operate various welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding machines, in accordance with aerospace industry standards.

·        Weld a variety of materials, such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium, to meet stringent aerospace quality requirements.

·        Conduct weld inspections using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and ensure compliance with industry standards.

·        Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and provide input on welding processes.

·        Perform weld repairs and modifications as necessary, adhering to aerospace quality and safety standards.

·        Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.

·        Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality control measures throughout the welding process.

·        Train and mentor junior welders as needed.


Education and Experience:

·        High School diploma or GED.

·        Successful completion of a welding certification program or equivalent on-the-job training.

 

Welder II: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in aerospace fabrication.

·        Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.

·        Experience with TIG and MIG welding of aerospace materials (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium).

·        Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods for weld inspection.

·        Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.

·        Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.

·        Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
