We are actively seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team!
You will be responsible for working on multiple construction projects for an Electrical Contractor.
This is a Project Engineer position, reporting directly to (2) Project Managers in the PM Department.
Monday thru Friday, 700AM-400PM in the El Cajon office, this is not a jobsite-based position.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Managers with their duties and take directions to execute tasks to completion
• Plans / Project Documents Management
• Upload and manage plans using Procore software
• RFI's, Submittals, Change Directives
• Receive & understand RFI's, upload into Procore and update new plans
• Generate, distribute, track submittals from start to finish
• Receive & understand Change Directives, upload into Procore and update new plans
• Printing plans using in-house plotters
• Work with Suppliers & Vendors to assist the PM's in procurement of materials
• Correspond with General Contractors & Vendors to meet end-goals
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years minimum experience in Construction Project Engineering, or similar experience
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Read & Understand Plans
• Not required to be fluent in Plan Reading, but knowledge of Sheet Numbering, and organizing.
• MS Outlook & MS Excel experience a must
• Confident, efficient and effective communication with coworkers, clients, and vendors
• Positive Mental Attitude, friendly and focused in a self-motivating environment
