We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters on commercial and/or residential construction projects. The Carpenter Helper will support daily carpentry tasks, maintain a clean and safe worksite, and help ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
Carry, load, and unload tools, equipment, and construction materials
Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing, and setting up materials
Help install framing, drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, and other carpentry components
Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
Follow blueprints, instructions, and safety guidelines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Perform general labor duties as needed
Requirements:
6 months to 2+ years of construction or carpentry-related experience preferred
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
Must have reliable transportation
Must wear proper PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe or lace-up work boots)
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
Must pass criminal background check and drug test (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10 certification
Experience on commercial construction sites
Basic knowledge of framing, drywall, or finish carpentry
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor job sites
Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise
Fast-paced construction environment
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
