Field Foreman - Commercial Construction Foreman 


 Construction Site foreman participate in and learn activities related to managing job sites for large-scale multi-family, commercial, and institutional projects.  In this role, the Foreman will assist in activities required to construct a project, including hands on working with tools)  and to include , icost management, scheduling help, quality management, assist with contract administration, and safety.  


Responsibilities

Site Logistics

  • With direction from Lead Superintendent Or Assistant Superintendent , manages assigned area of project, in its entirety and/or manages and coordinates subcontractors
  • Assists Superintendent with subcontractor premobilization meetings; focus on site logistics, safety, schedule, and approved submittals
  • Manages daily activities of subcontractors with focus on project schedule and manpower productivity rate in order to forecast completion date of project
  • Clear understanding of site logistics for laydown management, parking, crane access, and material deliveries
  • Manages Cadence McShane field crews and temporary labor
  • Assist field staff in receiving and inventorying deliveries to job site


Subcontractor Management

  • Reviews, understands, and utilizes the subcontractor’s contract in terms of contractual requirements, schedule adherence and scope of work
  • Review project punch list and coordinate subcontractors to insure completion of all outstanding punch list items in a timely manner
  • Manages subcontractor coordination meetings effectively with clear communication and coordination of all trades
  • Assist with daily reports, which includes detailed description of work and manpower by area for each subcontractor
  • Reviews monthly subcontractor invoices for accuracy


Safety and QA/QC

  • Knowledge and capability to monitor onsite safety utilizing OSHA and site and company Safety requirements
  • Reviews, inspects, understands, and utilizes plans, specs, approved shop drawings/submittals to ensure subcontractor work in the field meets contractual requirements for product and quality

Additional Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is a plus 
  • Zero to five years’ related experience in the construction industry

  • 2-5 yrs in commercial construction projects in a foreman or leadership role
