Heavy Civil Construction Project Estimator – Full Time

We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our growing team in heavy civil utilities construction and concrete work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating closely with project managers, and is ready to take ownership of the estimating process from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation for private and public projects.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, subcontractor bids, equipment rentals, payroll, and related expenses.

• Create and maintain detailed estimating spreadsheets.

• Gather and review vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and conformance to plans.

• Complete required specification and contract documents for each bid.

• Prepare precise material take-offs by quantity and type for pricing.

• Attend meetings with key stakeholders and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout all project phases.

• Support the Project Manager with schedules, change orders, pay requests, and related project documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in underground utilities and concrete estimating.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required).

• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

• Professional communication skills — both verbal and written.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Spanish fluency is a plus.

• Competitive salary – 100,000 to 130,000 annually (DOE)
